A robber made off with an undisclosed amount of money from a bank branch in the Two Harbors Super One on Saturday morning.

Two Harbors Police Chief Kevin Ruberg said the robbery occurred at 9:42 a.m. when a man handed the teller at The Lake Bank’s branch in Super One a note stating he had a gun and was demanding money. The robber escaped with the money. It wasn’t known what direction the robber went after leaving the store or if he fled in a vehicle, Ruberg said.

No one was hurt during the incident, Ruberg added.

Ruberg said the robber was a white male wearing a dark, Carhartt-style jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, a baseball-style cap, jeans and black tennis shoes, and had a goatee. It was impossible to guess the man’s height or weight from the bank’s surveillance video, he said.

The Two Harbors Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating the robbery. Anyone with information is asked to contact Two Harbors police at (218) 834-5566.

No one at The Lake Bank could be reached for comment. The store manager at Super One declined comment.
