Dale and Joretta Nikula motored to Moose Lake Monday to attend the wedding of their daughter, Lori, to Pat Driscoll. They were married on 1-11-11 at a friend’s home. Congratulations to Pat and Lori.

Birthday greetings go out to Deanne Reiten, who celebrated her 65th Monday. Deanne enjoyed celebrating with several get-togethers with friends during the week.

North Shore Voices will have a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Zion Lutheran Church.

Get well wishes go out to Yarrow and Betsy Mead, who both had mishaps over the holidays. Yarrow had a skiing accident at Lutsen and Betsy injured her ankle at Wolf Ridge.

Get-well wishes and thoughts go out to Glenn Carlson, who was in a serious car accident on Highway 61 near Encampment and is at St. Luke’s in Duluth.

When Finland Fire and Rescue held its holiday get-together there was an unveiling of a wonderful firefighting themed hanging wall quilt. Monica Riebe spent countless hours on the quilt. Ron Aldindger contributed in making a frame for it. Thank you to Monica and Ron for the wonderful gift, which is now displayed in the fire hall.

Josh and Julie Lindberg motored from Waconia to celebrate a belated Christmas with Julie’s parents, Ric and Diane Lindberg. They also visited with grandmother Lila Hangartner at the new assisted living home in Silver Bay. Lila joined them at the home of Ric and Diane Sunday.
