Two Harbors swim team members competed in the state meet this year.

Junior diver Rebecca Ronning, in her third year at state, placed 29th while junior Brooke Fletcher finished 32nd in the 500-yard freestyle and 28th in the 200-yard freestyle. Junior Steph McGregor finished 27th in the 200-yard individual medley.

Ronning was recently ranked No. 1 among all divers in the Duluth News Tribune’s Swimming Honor Roll. Fletcher was ranked No. 5 in the 500-yard freestyle while McGregor was No. 4, among 200-yard individual medley swimmers. Juniors Fletcher, McGregor, Ronning, Jennie Dwyer, and eighth-grader Mara Boulanger were all named to the All-Section 7A Team. Ronning won Diver of the Year.

Tara Kasell, along with diving coach Kathy Ronning and assistant coach Heather Oberg, were named coaches of the year in Section 7A.
