Holden Panetti rushed 32 times for 214 yards and three touchdowns to lead Silver Bay (8-2) to a 25-8 Section 5 Nine-Man semifinal victory over Floodwood on Saturday in Silver Bay.
The senior halfback also set a new single-season rushing standard at Silver Bay by reaching 1,750 yards, breaking the record set by Jamie Otterblad in 1999.
The Mariners improved to 8-2, while the Polar Bears finished 5-5.
Junior Kyle Blood recovered a fumble and made an interception for Silver Bay, which plays at McGregor for the title Friday. The top-seeded Mercuries (9-1) topped Cromwell 28-9.
