The Zion Lutheran Church Women held their 33rd Annual Bazaar on Saturday. The raffle winners were, first place quilt, Deb Schanno; second place, Christmas arrangement, Lory Meisel; and third place pillow cases, to Marsha Hansen. Congratulations to the winners, and thank you all to all who supported this event.

Sychar Lutheran Church will be holding their Fall Festival on Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Sychar Lutheran Social Room.

The Knights of Columbus will hold their annual Turkey Bingo Tuesday at St. Mary’s Church Hall at 7 p.m.

Joy Blanchard’s name was inadvertently left out of last week’s news items. Joy was also a guest at Evelyn Buetow’s luncheon. It was a nice get together as Joy will be leaving this winter to spend time with her family.

Hair Designs in Two Harbors and Silver Bay asked customers for help in October to raise money for breast cancer awareness. Hair Designs put together a “Pink Hair for Hope” drive, doing pink hair extensions, pink bracelets, and a drawing for pink hair items. All donations were given to the American Cancer Society. They were able to raise $750.
