Christopher (Keith) Hassett of Hermantown, formally from Two Harbors, died at home Oct. 24, 2010.

Keith was born Sept. 3,1924, in Duluth and graduated from Proctor High School in 1943.
He enlisted in the Army and served in World War II and was awarded two battle stars.
He was employed by the DM&IR Railroad as loco- motive engineer for 40 years, retiring in 1984.
Keith got great pleasure from spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Maribeth of 60 years. Children are Mary (Gregory Gabrys) of Clear Lake, S.D.; Christopher (Jan) of Winona; Jean Walski of Shakopee; Paul (Laurie) of Red Wing; and John of Hermantown. His siblings are Steve Hassett (Diane) of Georgia and Carol Stein of California.
He is also survived by15 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren.
Mass begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Hermantown. A military burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Two Harbors.
