Nettie Buschena

Nettie G. Buschena, 86, of Two Harbors, died Satur- day, Oct. 2, 2010, at her home after a courageous 3 1/2-year battle with cancer.

She was born July 7, 1924, to George and Etta (Henrichs) Bents in Ransom Township, Minn. On July 18, 1954, Nettie married Raymond Buschena and they moved to Two Harbors in 1956. Nettie worked at Lake View Memorial Hospital as a dietary assistant until her retirement in 1992.

Nettie was a charter member of both Hope Lutheran Church and Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church and was active in many church activities. She was also a VFW Auxiliary lifetime member. Nettie enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings. Nettie is survived by her husband Raymond; son Mark of Bismarck, N.D.; daughters Diane (Rick Brenna) of Clear Lake, Minn., and Lori of Worthington; granddaughter, Rachel Heinrichs; and brother, George Bents Jr. Visitation was held Monday at Cavallin Funeral Home and continued at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church Tuesday.
