The Lake Superior School District Community Education and its Fabulous Friday community partners are looking for a few “fabulous” community members. Some positions are:

Tutor

Looking for adults to assist students who need homework help Monday through Thursday between noon and 5 p.m. and Fridays by appointment.

Mentor

Looking for adults to hang out with and to be a positive role model.

Soccer

Two Harbors soccer is looking for adults willing to help at an open soccer field 9:30-11:30 a.m. Fridays at Segog Park, except Oct. 23. Soccer experience is helpful, but not necessary.

Adult hosts

Looking for adults to host youth while at The Place in Two Harbors. With volunteer host staff, the hope is to have The Place open Fridays noon-6 p.m. Sign up for three- or six-hour shifts. Contact Mary Rosati for additional information at 834-5510.

Adult chaperones

Adults willing to chaperone on buses and at functions. If you have a child or grandchild, a day of volunteering will get them half price on their next day trip.

Vote

Want to help kids learn about the election process? This fall, through KIDS Voting, there is an opportunity to help with the “Vote to Honor a Veteran” program. Planning with a middle school team will take place on Fridays.

For more, call 834-8201, ext. 8223 or email ajackson@isd381.k12.mn.us.
