Sponsored by the Two Harbors North Shore Rotary, the 20 members of the Rotary Renegades took 56th place out of almost 90 boats entered in the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival at Barkers Island in Superior last weekend.

Sponsored by the Two Harbors North Shore Rotary, the 20 members of the Rotary Renegades took 56th place out of almost 90 boats entered in the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival at Barkers Island in Superior last weekend.
The event raised more than $86,000 for Duluth’s St. Mary’s hospital system for mammography machines.

Carol and Lloyd Houle of Silver Bay celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their family recently and got a unique gift.
They were surprised with an autographed script from “The Young and the Restless” cast.
The television soap opera script had personalized best wishes from all of their favorite characters. The gift was made possible by two former Silver Bay residents: Leni Ramberg Hultstrom,an accomplished writer, and Bill Hultstrom, the production designer for “The Young and The Restless.” They live and work in Los Angeles.
