Last weekend the cities of Silver Bay and Beaver Bay celebrated in summer style with their annual Bay Days. Whether it was the mud run as an ode to Silver Bays record-setting performance last year during an ATV parade, local vendors drumming up business, raising money for the Silver Bay Fire Department through a pancake breakfast or a boy waiting to get on a train that would delve into taconite processing’s past, the essence of what makes up the Bays area was on full display Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
