Scramble on for golf tradition

Lakeview National Golf Course will host the sixth annual Agate Golf Scramble in conjunction with Heritage Days weekend July 9.

Lakeview National Golf Course will host the sixth annual Agate Golf Scramble in conjunction with Heritage Days weekend July 9. The Friday event will be a five-person scramble with a shotgun start at 11 a.m.

The cost is $60 per person and will include golf, two carts per team, prizes, proximities, and a food coupon. Registration forms can be found at the Lakeview National Golf Course pro shop.

The scramble should be over by 5 p.m. in order for participants to attend other Heritage Days or class reunion events.

The scramble began in 2005 as an event for the All-Class Reunion celebration. Its success made it a regular part of Heritage Days.
