The 17th annual Knife River Solstice Run/Walk will be staged rain or shine June 26 at the Knife River Recreation Hall.
The 17th annual Knife River Solstice Run/Walk will be staged rain or shine June 26 at the Knife River Recreation Hall.
A two-mile walk will begin at 9 a.m. The 5-K run/walk will begin at 10. There are kid’s races at 10:30 a.m. and the morning’s activities include prize drawings.
The race starts and finishes at Knife River Recreation Hall at the corner of Church Road and Scenic Highway 61 in Knife River.
Entry is $20 before Monday. Register at the Web site www.kniferiverreccenter.org or call Kelly at 834-2118. After Monday, the cost is $25 and registration is available on race day beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Race participants receive T-shirts and age and sex division winners receive recognition. Children will receive prizes and ribbons.
The Solstice Run/Walk is a fundraiser for the Knife River Recreation Council, which develops and maintains recreational facilities and opportunities.
