Michele Inez (Johnson) Hagglund passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010, in Clover Valley, Duluth at age 47.
Michele was born April 10, 1963, to Terrance and Louise (Nelson) Johnson at the Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, Calif.
Michele started school in Two Harbors. Her family moved to Silver Bay for five years, then returned to Two Harbors where she graduated in 1981.
Michele married Johnny Hagglund in July. They lived in Newburg, N. D. and Minneapolis. She loved children and babysat many children in both cities.
Returning to Clover Valley, they made this their permanent home. Jesse was born July 13, 1983, and Andrew was born Jan. 23, 1985. She drove school bus, and worked at Thalassic House for almost 20 years, planning to retire in July.
Michele enjoyed raising beef, pigs and chickens. She planted many varieties of trees and helped Johnny in his general contracting business.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny; sons, Jesse (Misty) of Esko and Andrew of Duluth; one sister, Melanie (John) Mojkowski of Brimson and one brother, Myron (Tabitha) Johnson of Mesa, Ariz.; her parents, and grandmother, Margaret Johnson; her grandchildren are Miles and Avery; nieces, Lilka and Halina and nephew, Roblee.
A memorial service was held at the Cremation Society of Minnesota.
