Life, lumberjacks and brakemen

These are some of the images that make up the restored historic photos and prints for sale and on exhibit for “History in the Making” June 26 through July 11 at the Waterfront Gallery in Two Harbors. The display is a look into the past of the north woods and the North Shore.

The images come courtesy of the Lake County Historical Society and proceeds from the exhibit will go toward the restoration of the Mallet Steam Train outside the depot museum.

The photographs have been meticulously restored by state-of-the-art digital technology and reproduced using the Giclee print process, a high quality ink-jet print.

The opening reception and benefit sale begins at 3 p.m. June 26.

The Waterfront Gallery sells fine art, gifts, custom framing and photo restoration services in downtown Two Harbors.
