Water tower to be beige

The final look for the new water tower in Two Harbors is taking shape after another meeting of the arts and beatification committee.

The new tower in the industrial park will be painted beige with a darker beige underneath. It will feature black lettering saying “Two Harbors” and “It All Starts Here.”

The idea of a silhouette of the Honking Tree was discussed and dismissed. One member said they were tired of the fascination for the tree. Others felt the silhouette could be mistaken for the tree in the Black Woods Grill & Bar logo. There was also a cost issue to consider since any extra design was not in the original painting bid.
