Members of the local chapter of Peacemakers have made nearly 300 quilts to be sent out in June as part of Lutheran World Relief.

It works with partners in 35 countries. Quilts made at the church could be sent all over the world, including Haiti.

In years past quilts have gone to places such as the Northwoods Children’s Home, Community Partners, North Shore Horizons and St. Luke’s Cancer Patient Care.

Community members and businesses have made donations of fabric to the cause.
