Honking Tree has an official home
City officials, along with spokesman John Bray of the Minnesota Department of Transportation, signed copies of an agreement to hand over the rights of the Honking Tree to the city of Two Harbors.

City officials, along with spokesman John Bray of the Minnesota Department of Transportation, signed copies of an agreement to hand over the rights of the Honking Tree to the city of Two Harbors.
Copies of the agreement were given to various public officials at a city council meeting Monday. Many officials, along with others who were instrumental in memorials of the Honking Tree, were also given pieces of the trunk branded with an image of the tree.
Both Two Harbors and Silver Bay high schools were given one.
