Kimberly Ann Bloomstrom, 50, of Walker, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010, at her home.
Kim was born March 3, 1960, in St. Paul to Willard and Marie (Sadowski) Parenteau. She graduated from North St. Paul High School in 1978.
She then worked various clerical jobs and met Greg Bloomstrom while working as a secretary for the parks and recreation director in Oakdale. They were married March 2, 1984, in Stillwater, and spent the next few years living in the suburbs of St. Paul, Wisconsin, and Silver Bay before moving to Walker in 1997.
Besides being a mother and grandmother, Kim was employed by the Department of Corrections as an office specialist. She enjoyed camping, traveling, gardening, reading, crocheting, and living life as a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Because family was always most important to her, she was diligent in attending her daughters’ sporting events, and volunteered many hours at church and school.
Kim had a great sense of humor, and loved to laugh and have fun with friends and family. Her desire was to see others happy and enjoy special times together. She will be remembered for her warm, unselfish spirit, and deep spiritual strength.
Kim is survived by her husband, Greg; daughters Jennifer (fiancé Adam Jackson), Jaime (Aaron) Couch, Jillie, Jaclyn, and step-daughter Rachel (Scott) Peters; grand- daughters Mailena and Myla Couch, and Mia Jackson; parents Willard and Marie Parenteau; siblings Carol (Harry) Schulz, Jody (Mark) Falteisek, Renee (Tom) Mechelke, Bill (Rita) Parenteau, Scott (Kari) Parenteau, Tom (Shellee) Parenteau, Jim Parenteau, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a baby brother, Daniel Parenteau, and grandmother Verona Kotrba.
There was a funeral services Thursday at Hope Lutheran Church in Walker, with Rev. Philip Larsen officiating.
Memorials are preferred to Relay For Life-The Believe Team. Submit online condolences at www.dennis funeralhome.com
