Emeritus College, the College of St. Scholastica’s Lake County program for lifelong learners, will offer courses in Two Harbors and Silver Bay, including “From Maple Sugar to the Medicine Man” beginning Wednesday in Two Harbors.
Emeritus College is a program of continuing education designed to enrich the lives of adults in environments free from the demands of examinations and assignments. Most courses meet for 90 minutes once a week for six weeks. Registration fees are $38 for a six-week class, with a $5 discount off each additional class taken; text and materials fees are not included. Join PBS filmmaker Lorraine Norrgard to explore the past and present of the Northland’s Ojibwe people through her films and discussion. The class will explore the myths and reality of Ojibwe traditions and current practices.
Experience six unique lectures with six instructors from Scholastica. All classes meet from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays at Silver Bay United Protestant Church.
