Mildred C. “Millie” Anderson, a beloved mother, aunt and friend, passed away March 19, 2010, in Roseville. She was 93.
Millie was born in Finland to Ben and Mary Zapolski. She was a longtime resident of Two Harbors, where she lived until her marriage in 1943.
Millie was a loving and gracious woman who was admired for her kindness, gentleness, strength, integ- rity, wisdom, patience, humility, loyalty and com- mitment to honesty and truth.
She had a love of family, dogs, animals and was known as a gracious hostess and wonderful homemaker who supported the interests and activities of her daughter and late husband.
She was a longtime member of St. Rose of Lima and supporter of CCW, Music Ministry, the Art and Environment Committee. She also was active in the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation.
She was preceded in death by loving husband, Arthur “Irv;” parents, Ben and Mary Zapolski; five brothers, Ben (Dorothy), Joe (Irene), Bob (June) and infant brothers, Benedict and Richard Zapolski.
She is survived by devoted daughter, Lianne; nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and neph- ews, friends, neighbors and canine friend Cleo.
Visitation was 4-8 p.m. Thursday (March 25) at Holcomb-Henry-Boom-Purcell Funeral Home in Shoreview. There will be a service today at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Roseville. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Myasthenia Gravis Foun- dation, Minnesota-Anderson Fund.
