“Bogo” Johnson

Michael Edwin “Bogo” Johnson died Friday, March 12, 2010, at home in Andover with his family by his side after a valiant battle against brain cancer.
Mike was born in Two Harbors Aug. 20, 1951, to Kenneth E. “Bogo” and Shirley M. “Tootsie” (Kirkhus) Johnson. Mike graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1969, served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam War veteran.
He was married to Patricia Lindgren of Cambridge, on Oct. 7, 1978.
Mike worked at A&B Sporting Goods in Coon Rapids for more than 20 years before its closing and was most recently employed by ECM Publishers in Coon Rapids.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka, the American Legion in Coon Rapids, and the Moose Lodge in Two Harbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and uncles, Ronald Kirkhus and Milton Johnson.
Mike is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Patty; and his dearly loved daugh- ters, Erin Johnson and Tracy Johnson; his sisters, Gaynelle Johnson and Shelley Johnson of Duluth, Denise “Deedi” Talbott of Two Harbors; and his brother, Kirk “Erwin” Johnson of Two Harbors; in addition to nieces, nephews, cousins and his ever faithful dog, Sadie.
