Lake County Fair news: March 12
The theme for this year’s Lake County Fair, scheduled for Aug. 12-15, is “Pride in a Free America,” with the closing Sunday being called Armed Forces Day. Thursday is Senior Day, Friday is Kids Day, and Saturday is devoted to the 4-H Horse Show.

The fair’s return to a four-day schedule and will feature Gopher State Expositions at the midway. Organizers heard from attendees that they enjoyed the midway and wanted the company back.
The Great Lakes Timber Show will also have shows with tree topping, chainsaw carving, and ax throwing.
Other entertainment includes a mechanical bull with a tournament on Saturday night. There are contests each day of the fair.
Entries to be judged at the fair will be taken Wednesday afternoon and evening.
