Local Government Makes Noise at Capital

Members of the Two Harbors City Council and representatives from Lake County met with Sen. Sharon Erickson Ropes, a Two Harbors native, to discuss details of the Burlington Bay campground expansion project.

Members of the Two Harbors City Council and representatives from Lake County met with Sen. Sharon Erickson Ropes, a Two Harbors native, to discuss details of the Burlington Bay campground expansion project.

Sen. Erickson Ropes is co-authoring a bill to request state bonding dollars for the hometown project.

Bolen said Ropes expects major bonding projects to be axed out first as the Legislature and Gov. Tim Pawlenty try to arrive at a budget number they can agree on. The campground project, at $1 million, would fall into the smaller category.
