One dead in rollover
Brian J. Mathson, 63, of Grand Marais, died in a vehicle rollover Monday just south of Knife River on the Highway 61 Expressway.

He was a passenger in a Ford Explorer that went into the ditch as persistent snow made roads slick in the area, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.
Nancy L. Zimmer 65, of Grand Marais was driving north at 4:37 p.m. when her 2001 Ford Explorer slid off the roadway, entered the right ditch and then rolled before coming to rest upside down at the Anderson Road intersection.
She was treated at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Two Harbors and released.
Up to 14 inches of snow fell Sunday into Tuesday in parts of Lake County.
