I’m a huge fan of the Two Harbors Winter Frolic. I believe the city and chamber joint collaborative effort to support and maintain this wonderful event has been a good cornerstone for a renewed relationship between the two entities.

I love the sliding hill. This year, the city put a temporary light pole nearby to light up the area. And the hill itself will be multi-layered so kids and adults can enjoy it.

I’m really looking forward to the vintage snowmobile run from the airport into downtown too. I will be participating. And the parade Friday night down Waterfront Drive and across First Avenue is always a blast.

And then, of course, the challenge of the county board versus the city council in the smoosh race Saturday at 1 p.m. All I can say is I hope they’ve been practicing, because it’s game on.

Winters are long in our area, so get out and enjoy this wonderful festival.
