Clemens I. Aldinger, 82, Isabella, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital of cancer.
He was born August 14, 1927 to John and Eva (Wittmeier) Aldinger in
Herreid, SD., where he grew up and attended school. He married Frances Hildenbrand on May 30, 1951, in Toronto.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war and was self-employed as a logger through the years. Clemens was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
He enjoyed working in his woodshop making clocks, fishing and bowling. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Albert, sister Esther, daughter Susan and grandson Brent.
Clemens is survived by his wife Frances; daughter Doreen Butala, sons Ronald (Mary) Aldinger and Darren Aldinger, brothers and sister Walter Aldinger, Annetta Moen and Leon Aldinger, grandchildren Justin Aldinger, Joshua (Kate) Aldinger and Brian Butala, great-granddaughter Destiny Aldinger and numerous nieces and nephews.
His service was Monday at Zion Lutheran Church. Services and arrangements provided by Rev. Bill Fossum and Cavallin Funeral Home. Burial was at Lakeview Cemetery, Two Harbors.
