A loss last week to Moose Lake kick-started the Agates to their first win of the season.
“In that game, things started to click,” said Head Coach Dory Pohl about the team’s 3-0 loss to Moose Lake.
In a tournament in Ogilvie last weekend, the team came up with its first win of the season against Minneapolis South.
“I think our passing is so much better,” Pohl said. “We’re playing at a higher level.”
Sarah Stark had 13 digs in the victory, while Courtney Kimball had two ace-serves.
In other tournament action over the weekend, the Agates lost to Ogilvie, Milaca and Minnesapolis South (a previous tournament match-up). The team also split a game with Cromwell.
On Tuesday, the team lost to Carlton.
Abby Ray had 10 kills for the Agates – the first player on the team this season to have double-digit stats in that category for a game.
Kaley Peterson had six kills while Sasha Fjeran had 14 set assists and Stark had 15 digs.
