After another win, the Silver Bay volleyball coach is happy with the way their season is coming along.

“The girls played really well,” said head coach Andrea McMillen about her team’s recent 3-0 victory over Wrenshall. “They work together well.”

The team had an 88 percent serve percentage during the game.

Kirstin Sandstrom was one of the keys to success for the Mariners having nine ace-hits, one ace-serve and two digs. Katrina Davis had nine ace-sets, one dig, three ace-hits and one ace-serve, while Taylor Guzzo had five ace-hits, three digs and one ace-serve.

During the last week, the team was scheduled to play Cook County, but the game was rescheduled.

Next up for the Mariners will be Barnum, who will be pretty tough, according to McMillen.

The game will be away at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15.
