Shirley A. Ohlund, 80, of Two Harbors died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Sunrise Home.
She was born March 14, 1929 to Olaf and Martha (Lake) Osbakken in Two Harbors, where she grew up and graduated from Two Harbors High School.
She married Kenneth Ohlund on September 4, 1948 in Two Harbors. She was a homemaker through the years who raised five children.
Shirley and Ken moved to Bassett Lake in 1982, and lived there until moving back to Two Harbors in 2005. She was a longtime member of the VFW. Shirley loved her time at Bassett Lake and also spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Pauline, and son, Jerry.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Cindy (Jim) Robinson, of California; sons, Jeff (Sue) of McGregor, Terry (Carol) of Grand Rapids, and Doug (Patti) of Two Harbors; daughter-in-law, Marianne Ohlund of Eagan; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held 11a.m. Friday, September 11, 2009, at Cavallin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sunrise Nursing Home in Two Harbors.
