Play and Learn Days
Attention grandparents, parents, friends and neighbors. If you are caring for children ages birth to 5 years old, you are invited to Play and Learn Days. Play and Learn Days are free and full of fun activities.
Attention grandparents, parents, friends and neighbors. If you are caring for children ages birth to 5 years old, you are invited to Play and Learn Days. Play and Learn Days are free and full of fun activities.
Each Play and Learn includes fun activities for children such as story time, messy play day and make and take games. The activities are geared to help children build skills and to offer caregivers new ideas to use at home. In addition to the activities offered at each event, participants will bring home a new children’s book and resources will be available for caregivers.
Play and Learn Days are offered during ECFE’s weekly Drop-in. Drop-in is available every Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to11:30 a.m. beginning September 17.
Play and Learn Days will be offered once a month at each site:
Silver Bay: 10 a.m. in the ECFE room (#104) in the William Kelley School.
Two Harbors: 10 a.m. in the ECFE room (#107) in the Minnehaha School.

Story time with Sue: Oct. 22 (TH), Oct. 29 (SB)
Story time with Donna: Nov. 12 (TH), Nov. 19 (SB)
Winter and holiday crafts: Dec. 3 (TH), Dec. 10 (SB)

Lake Superior School District is part of the Northland Alliance for Family, Friend, and Neighbor Child Care Provider Outreach and Support Initiative. LSSD received a grant to continue to provide visits, special events and Play and Learn Days for people providing childcare for their families, friends and neighbors. With this grant, information, support, and activities for caregivers will be provided depending on their needs and interests.
