Lake County Humane Society: Pets of the week

Owen – He is a striking, short-haired neutered male cat. He has a great personality and gets along with everyone: people, cats and dogs. He is a great all around cat; he is very friendly and likes to greet people who come into the shelter.

Sal – He is one of seven orange tabby kittens at our shelter. They are all equally adorable, playful and cuddly. All of them are in dire need of homes. The adoption fee for our kittens has been reduced to $50 due to overcrowding at our shelter.

You can meet Own, Sal and our other pets at a shelter open house where you can spend some time and decide if one could fit in at your home. We are located at 415 20th Ave in Two Harbors. Open house hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9–11 a.m., Wednesday evening 5–7 p.m. and on Saturdays 1–3 p.m. You can also call 218-834-5806 for an appointment.

Fees for adoption are $50 for cats, $75 for kittens and $100 for dogs. This includes spay or neuter and up to date vaccinations.

Our shelter is now full of cats and kittens in desperate need of loving homes. Donations are always appreciated. We use a lot of cat litter, pet food and treats, paper towels, bleach and garbage bags.
