Two Harbors library news
Work on Waterfront Drive has been underway in front of the Library, as well as work on the library entrance sidewalk and the new patio.
Under construction:
Work on Waterfront Drive has been underway in front of the Library, as well as work on the library entrance sidewalk and the new patio. Although arrangements have been made for some kind of building access throughout most of the construction project, the library may need to be closed for a few days this summer as demolition work is done in front of the main doors. The dates for closing have yet to be determined, and will be based on construction progress. We will try to give our patrons as much warning as possible about any library closings. Also, parking on Waterfront Drive in front of the library may be limited throughout the entire project. We hope you will please be patient as these improvements are made.
Memorial patio project:
The Library board is still taking donations to purchase engraved brick pavers, trees, and landscape plantings for the new patio that will be built this fall in front of the library addition. An engraved paver is a great way to remember or honor a loved one. Please call the library (834-3148), ask at the desk for a brochure, or visit our website at http://www.two-harbors.lib.mn.us for more information.
Centennial:
This year is the 100th birthday of the Two Harbors Public Library building. To commemorate the event, the library now has available some lovely postcards, notecards, and journals, yours for a small donation. Stop into the library soon if you are interested, because supplies will not last long.
