The Silver-Beaver Bay Days were once again a success. Whether it was those dancing the night a way at the street dance or someone showing off their skills with model planes, there was something for everyone at the festivities. The mud run was one of those successes. In its first year, about 30 wheelers geared up and took to the mud. One even got stuck and had to be pushed out by some kids (above). Another strong event was the Silver Bay Fire Department breakfast.
“Over 100 people showed up,” said George Pope, of Silver-Beaver Bay Days about the breakfast. If you didn’t get your fill at the breakfast, you may have at the parade.
“It was a high candy parade,” Pope said.
Before the parade was the Bay to Bay Road and Trail Run and Walk. Other events deemed strong successes include the car show and a model plane demonstration. Check out the a photo page of the weekend’s festivities attached.
