Grandma’s Marathon has announced its 2009 Hall of Fame class. The nonprofit organization has selected four new inductees into its hall — John Docter, Steve Greenfield, Kellie Luedloff and Bill Wenmark.
Doctor and Greenfield both have been volunteer media vehicle drivers for more than 30 years. Luedloff is a longtime volunteer and has been captain of the seven-mile water station since 1994. Wenmark is a longtime Grandma’s Marathon participant, training program founder and long-distance running ambassador.
“We are pleased to recognize the contributions of these four individuals, who are all very deserving of a place in our hall of fame. The success and development of our organization is based on dedicated people like these,” said Scott Keenan, executive director of Grandma’s Marathon.
The 2009 Hall of Fame inductees will receive their awards at Saturday’s post-race award ceremony which begins at 4 p.m. at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC).
