Forrest Johnson firing 'unbelievable'
I read with disbelief that Forrest Johnson had been fired. My reason for subscribing to your paper was his run-off report and his editorial; many of his printings were used by me in discussions with co-workers and friends.
To the Editor:
I read with disbelief that Forrest Johnson had been fired. My reason for subscribing to your paper was his run-off report and his editorial; many of his printings were used by me in discussions with co-workers and friends. I have also had occasion to speak with him via phone and he was never too busy to take a call and give information. I cannot think of a newspaper in this area with someone like Forrest on the staff. Shame on whomever’s decision it was to let him go. His was the voice of reason in a world of greed; I fear the consequences to your good town without him to alert folks to the goings on of people who would lead to the further detriment of Two Harbors. I am paid through June 26, 2009 at which time I am cancelling my subscription.
Sincerely,
Lynn Griffith
