Forrest will definitely be missed

To the Editor,
Forrest fired? That comes a s a bit of a shock to say the least. He’s represented so many of us culturally, politically and philosophically. He’s always known th e lay of the land and people - a real human touch.
As a Mark Twain of the north, he represents real writing, real journalism and community (to me anyway) - much lacking in today’s papers.
Not to be overly dramatic, but this feels like a slap in our face, even in our values. Is this a wise business decision? I find it hard to see how he can be replaced.
