GRADUATES

Cole Ellefson from Silver Bay graduated in May from St. Cloud State University with a bachelor of science in finance. He graduated Summa Cum Laude. Ellefson was also named to the dean’s list for the spring semester.

Anna Schield from Two Harbors graduated in May from Concordia University in St. Paul with a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education.

Rebekah Lynn Valum from Two Harbors graduated in June from the University of Oregon - Eugene with a doctor of jurisprudence (J.D.).

William Larson and Micaiah Schubert from Two Harbors graduated from Vermilion Community College in May. Larson received an associate of applied science degree in wildland/wildlife law enforcement and Schubert received an associate of science degree in criminal justice, police science. Schubert graduated with honors.

Matthew Bromaghim, Ashley Gilbert and Amanda Peak, all from Two Harbors, graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in May. Bromaghim received a bachelor of science degree in mathematics. Gilbert received a bachelor of applied science degree in integrated elementary and special education. Peak received a bachelor of arts degree in English. She also graduated cum laude.

Lee Ellingsen, Abby Ray and Matthew Souja, all from Two Harbors, graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Superior in May. Ellingsen received a bachelor of science degree in accounting. Ray received a bachelor of science in physical education. Souja received a master of arts in media communication.

DEAN’S LIST

Kara Nonnemacher from Two Harbors was named to the dean’s list at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher to be named to the dean’s list.

A number of Two Harbors and Silver Bay students were named to the dean’s list at The College of St. Scholastica for the spring semester. The students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be named to the dean’s list. The students were:

Kiersten Haaversen of Two Harbors and Brett Mensing of Silver Bay were named to the dean’s list at St. Cloud State University. Students must have a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be named to the dean’s list.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Travis Aijala from Two Harbors received a Jeffery M. Widness HMI Scholarships for $1,000 from Lake Superior College. He is studying commercial and residential welding.

Lindsay Anderson from Knife River was awarded a Louisiana-Pacific Scholarship of $1,500 each year for a four-year period. She will attend the College of St. Scholastica, studying nursing. Anderson’s father works at LP. Sixteen children of LP employees in North America were awarded the scholarship.
