Culver’s will donate 10 percent of all sales to the activities fund at THHS for the whole day. The restaurant is located at 1082 Minnesota 61, just as you enter Two Harbors from the south.

Baseball The Two Harbors baseball team sits at 2-1 afterdefeating Proctor on Friday and falling to South Ridge on Tuesday.

The Agates defeated the Rails 12-10 at home, with senior Mark Pearson as the winning pitcher. Junior Lucas Kempffer had three hits, and senior Kyle Omtvedt and Pearson had two hits and two RBIs each.

They hosted South Ridge on Tuesday, falling 4-6 to the team. Omtvedt pitched for the team, tallying nine strikeouts. Seniors Tim Bott and Kempffer had two hits each and senior Mike Nordean had a homer.

The boys host Marshall tonight for a double header and head to Cook County tomorrow. Next week is busy, with a game a night Monday through Thursday.

Softball The softball girls are 4-2 after defeating Cromwell twice, beating South Ridge and falling to Eveleth-Gilbert in the last week.

The girls hosted Cromwell for a double-header on Friday, defeating the Cardinals twice in five-inning games. The Agates won 22-0 and 21-1.

On Monday, they hosted Eveleth-Gilbert and were defeated 18-10. They hosted South Ridge on Tuesday and tallied a 7-2 win. Sophomore Sara Fjeran pitched for the win, allowing four hits and tallying four strikeouts. She also hit a triple, stole a base and scored three runs. Freshman Tiffani Johnson had 2 RBIs.

They host Marshall tonight and have a crammed schedule for the next week, playing two games at home each Saturday and Wednesday and playing on the road Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Track and field The Two Harbors track and field squads competed in Pillager on Tuesday. The girls finished 4th of eight teams and the boys came in 6th of seven. Junior Casey Cross placed first in shotput.

The team heads to Duluth for a meet today and competes in the Varsity Conference Tournament on Wednesday.

Golf

The golf team finally got to see some action on Monday at the Virginia Municipal Golf Course. The team placed 15th of 16 teams and no Agate golfers finished in the top 10.
