Six Cairn signs to mark North Shore

Visitors to the Northland will notice six new signs that dot the drive along the North Shore.

Made of rock, six Cairn signs were erected along the scenic highway to serve as landmarks.

Duluth, Two Harbors, Grand Marais, Grand Portage and Sugarloaf Interpretive Center are marked with the signs.

Gene Shaw, director of Visit Duluth, said the look of the signs is meant to blend in with the beauty of the North Shore.
