Two Harbors Public Library News

Free Museum Passes at the Library!

Part of the funding from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund was set aside toward supporting culture and encouraging the public to get more involved with their community's arts. As such, a certain number of passes, good for free entry into specific museums, are sent to local libraries to be handed out to the public. It just so happens that the Two Harbors Public Library received its biggest batch yet, and we still have a ton to give away! The locations that these passes are good for include:

• Bois Forte Heritage Center

• Carlton County Historical Society

• Dorothy Molter Museum

• Duluth Children's Museum

• Duluth Depot & Lake Superior Railroad Museum

• Ely-Winton Historical Society

• Forest History Center

• Glensheen

• Judy Garland & Children's Museum

• Lake County Historical Society

• Minnesota Discovery Center

• Minnesota Museum of Mining

• North Shore Commercial Fishing Museum

These tickets are good from now until Dec. 31, so they have to be used up by the end of this year. In order to encourage as many people to get involved as possible, the library is giving out four tickets per family, right up until we run out. You don't even need a library card to get these tickets! We can check these passes out to you either with your library card or with your driver's license or Minnesota State I.D. So stop by the library, pick up a couple of FREE museum passes, and go explore your local history!
