“There are worse crimes than burning books. One of them is not reading them.”

-Ray Bradbury

There is no need to feel like a criminal. Even people who say they aren’t into reading are into the subjects that are contained within the rows and rows of books at the library.  How are the knives in the kitchen? Are they so dull that you can’t tell the difference between the butter and the paring knives? You will be so satisfied with the results that you get from books on knife sharpening that you might decide to go in for a close shave with your newly honed utensils. You can sing, play music, do origami, learn magic tricks, train the dog (but probably not the cat.) You can perform plays or ballets and learn sumo wrestling or gymnastics all from a wide variety of books available on these subjects and many more. There’s a lot of snow out there.  See what you can do with “Snowmen: Creatures, Crafts, and Other Winter Projects” by Peter Cole.  If you’re simply disenchanted with the snow and cold, it’s going to be a very long winter. It’s warm, bright and cozy in the library with lots of seating and friendly faces. We’d love to see you and help you find a subject that leads you away from winter’s discontent … AND a life of possible crime.
