Library news: Sept. 9
The Two Harbors Public Library patio was installed in 2010 and has become a popular spot to sit outside reading, visiting, or using the library's wireless Internet access.
The patio features engraved pavers with messages honoring or in memory of people. They make interesting reading themselves. Another group of pavers will be added this fall, replacing some of the blank bricks.
Messages can be selected by anyone donating $100 or more to the library. The deadline for inclusion in this year's group of pavers is Sept. 30. Contact library staff for additional information, 834-3148.
Donate a book
The Friends of the Library are looking for donations of gently used books for their annual book sale at the Two Harbors Public Library, which will be Sept. 16-17. The Friends will accept all categories of books, fiction and nonfiction, as well as movies and CDs. Donations can be dropped off at the library.
