If today is July 12 and you are reading this article, do you have an hour or two to lend a hand? Consider calling your library and assisting with the bigger-than-ever Silver Bay Friends of the Library annual book sale. We could use your help moving and sorting books. When the book sale begins on Saturday morning at 9 a.m., we want to make sure everything is just right. Our number is 226-4331. Thank You!

If you're still subscribing to bulky print magazines, here's your opportunity to clear some clutter from your life. With over eighty titles in genres for children, teens and adults, there is something to please every reader's interests. If you need further help, be sure to ask library staff.

Coming up in the next week at the library: Saturday, July 13 at 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friends of the Library book sale. The following programs will be held at 1 p.m. at the library:

July 15-- Rocky Taconite history and hike. Meet at the library

July 17-- Dig into ancient history. Meet at the library

July 18 -- Pizza and pages, Jeopardy & journal prompts. For teens only.

Monday, July 15, at 6:30 p.m., Diane Bradley will speak about her latest book, Wilder's Edge, and the real-life gold rush, bootlegging, and murder mystery upon which it is based. Then on July 16, kids are welcome to bring their most adventurous stuffed animals to the library for a stuffed-animals-only sleepover. Wednesday, July 17, from 6-8 p.m., the library will host its first ever Family Game Night. Thursday, July 18, at 2:30 p.m., we will host an Egypt-themed story time and craft. It's a busy week at the library - so stop by and enjoy some of it!
