This year was Silver Bay senior Kyle Blood's third trip to the Minnesota State Class A Track and Field Meet. The meet was held at Hamline University in St. Paul last weekend.

Blood's coach Rick Frericks said they set a very specific goal at the beginning of the year--beating the 1 minute 56.9 second mark in Blood's 800-meter run. They wrote it on a piece of paper and taped it in the back of Blood's locker: 1:56.9.
