Heavy rain swells North Shore rivers, waterfalls (with video)
After storms dropped a half-foot of rain on parts of the North Shore from Thursday into early Friday, rivers responded with a show of force usually reserved for spring runoff.
The Temperance and Cascade rivers were among those running high Friday, putting on a show for North Shore visitors who ventured out on the sunny morning. The watersheds of those two rivers reach into the area where the heaviest rain fell during several rounds of storms.
