Josh, DeAnn and Morgan Philipp, Jakob Jordon, Doug Striker and Mike Gadacz arrived on Friday to visit with family. On Saturday a gravesite service was held at Crystal Bay Cemetery for their father, Larry Striker. Family and friends gathered for lunch at the home of Jim and Verna Sinderman following the service.

Congratulations to Jon and Amy Nelson in the birth of their new baby girl. Kendall Alice was born on Friday, Oct. 25 weighing in at 8 pounds, 2 ounces. Proud sisters are Kameron Heinzen, Karly and Kinley Nelson.

Fifteen volunteers along one of Zion's past pastors, Jim Gerth of Atonement Lutheran Church in Green Bay motored here on Friday evening. On Saturday they, along with some of Zion's members, met at the home of Karsten and Ellen Hogenson to make wreaths to sell for the holiday season. The group made a total of about 120 wreaths, 72 of which will make their way to back to Green Bay. The remaining wreaths will be sold at the Zion Women's Bazaar on Saturday. On Sunday, the group also joined Zion for worship and a lunch following the service.

Finland Fire Rescue held its raffle drawing on Sunday afternoon at Wildhurst Lodge. Graie Rocnke of Maplewood was the lucky winner of the TV. A second place prize of $200 went to Rob Larson of the Trestle Inn, and three- $100 prizes went to Tammy Nikula , Finland, Amber Arntzen of St. Paul and Jesse Teerink of Worthington.

Make sure to check out the Zion Women's Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Clair Nelson Center from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. There will be plenty of crafts for holiday giving.
