Community radio kicks off fundraising drive
At Heritage Days and Chalk.a.lot in Two Harbors, the Two Harbors Community Radio station will kick off its fundraising drive.
Donors call also receive buttons, CDs or LPS.
There will also be a silent auction for a gently used Necky Sky kayak, donated by Two Harbors resident Joyce Helin. The silent auction for the 9-foot craft will start Friday at the community radio booth at Heritage Days, near the Depot in downtown Two Harbors, and will close at noon on Sunday, July 13.
Representatives of the nonprofit group are hoping to raise $20,000 this summer to buy the equipment they need to start their new low-powered radio station which would broadcast in Two Harbors.
