With the help of a donation from Northshore Mining, the Beaver Bay Beautification Committee  has added an attraction to the city with historical significance. The committee chose to purchase several larger-than-life wood carvings of sled dogs replicating those that would have been used by the legendary John Beargrease and place them around town.
